When I first started SpicyWebDesigners.com my main focus was interviewing web designers. I wish I could that it was something more sophisticated but I kept it simple. This allowed me to develop a strong following in the web design community and recently I’ve developed more personalized content as you may have noticed if you’ve been reading the site. With this said I am still doing interviews of the hottest web designers but I believe it’s also important to discuss new developments in web, online marketing and ecommerce technologies which is why I’ve decided to focus and specialize in my own style of writing and content development.
This web presence (SpicyWebDesigners.com) has not been an overnight success. Over the past 4 years the site has taken many forms and different domain names including:
- CommerceCubes.com circa June 2006 to September 2007
- WebmasterFarms.com circa January 2007 to March 2008
- PureWebAnalytics.com March of 2008 to December 2009
The SpicyWebDesigners.com brand has been the most successful website to date and is my sole focus.
How do we stay on the web?
Since about March of 2009, I’ve been monetizing the website through affiliate marketing (something an old boss had said I should look into) and currently this pays the bills related to hosting and marketing this website with some money left over for coffee (I take mine “Black, no cream, milk or sugar”).
